BAPA Brings Together 33 Organizations for World Environment Day 2025 Celebration

Bangladesh Poribesh Andolon (BAPA), in collaboration with 33 partner organisations, organised a daylong celebration to mark World Environment Day 2025 at the Department of Environment (DoE) premises in Dhaka on 26 June, 2025. The programme brought together environmental activists, civil society organisations, government representatives, and community members to foster dialogue and showcase innovative solutions addressing pressing environmental challenges. As part of this significant event, the Children Watch Foundation (CWF) actively participated by setting up an interactive stall that featured creative products made from reused and recycled materials. The display included eco-friendly household items and decorative pieces crafted from waste, reflecting CWF’s commitment to sustainable living practices. The stall garnered considerable attention for its aesthetic appeal and its message on reducing environmental footprints through reuse and innovation.

In addition, CWF’s Chairman, Shah Israt Azmery, delivered an insightful presentation highlighting the organisation’s holistic approach to environmental protection. The presentation emphasised CWF’s efforts in tackling various environmental issues, promoting restoration initiatives, and raising awareness on environmental development. “The World Environment Day celebration was an excellent platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration,” said Chairman Shah Israt Azmery. “CWF remains dedicated to fostering environmental stewardship, particularly among children and marginalised communities.” The programme served as a vibrant space for organisations to exhibit their initiatives, engage with stakeholders, and reinforce collective efforts toward building a healthier and more sustainable Bangladesh. BAPA’s leadership in coordinating this large-scale celebration underscored the importance of multi-stakeholder partnerships in addressing environmental issues at both local and national levels.
