On the occasion of the National Independence Day of Bangladesh (26 March 2026), Children Watch Foundation (CWF) proudly organized a vibrant and meaningful children’s awareness, storytelling and engagement program in Hazaribagh, Dhaka. The event brought together more than 70 enthusiastic students from three different schools, along with their parents and community members, creating a platform for dialogue, expression, and collective awareness.
The program was designed to empower children by amplifying their voices and raising awareness about key social and environmental issues. Interactive discussions were conducted with both children and their guardians, focusing on fundamental themes such as children’s rights, freedom of expression, access to education, food security, and environmental awareness. These discussions aimed to build a deeper understanding among families about the importance of nurturing a safe, inclusive, and sustainable future for children.
A highlight of the event was the storytelling session, where participating children shared their stories with placards in their hands, displaying powerful messages advocating for their rights and responsibilities. The placards symbolize the aspirations and concerns of the younger generation.
Celebrating Independence Day through such an initiative added profound significance to the event, as it connected the spirit of national freedom with the rights and dignity of every child. The presence and support of parents further strengthened the message that ensuring children’s rights and well-being is a shared responsibility of families, communities, and society at large.
Through this initiative, Children Watch Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to promoting child rights, environmental consciousness, and inclusive development, while inspiring young minds to become active, aware, and responsible citizens of the nation.
