Opening Ceremony of the Women’s Tailoring Training Program

The Children Watch Foundation (CWF) officially opened the Women’s Tailoring Training Program on 1 November 2025 at its Hazaribagh Office under the Women’s Equity & Action wing. The program marks a continuation of CWF’s efforts to empower marginalized women by equipping them with practical livelihood skills to ensure financial independence and self-reliance.

The opening ceremony was jointly inaugurated by Ms. Shah Israt Azmery and Mr. Anisur Rahman, who warmly welcomed the participants and expressed their optimism about the transformative impact of the training. They emphasized that empowering women through skill development is not only vital for family wellbeing but also for achieving sustainable community growth.

A total of 20 participants joined the first batch of this tailoring training program. The trainees, mostly women from nearby low-income communities, expressed their enthusiasm and commitment to learning new skills that could help them secure future employment or start their own small enterprises.

During the event, CWF representatives discussed the objectives, training modules, and production-oriented approach of the initiative, which links skill training with practical income-generation opportunities. The session concluded with a group photo and words of encouragement for the trainees to stay dedicated throughout the course.

The program reaffirmed CWF’s dedication to advancing women’s empowerment, livelihood creation, and social equity through community-based capacity building and inclusive development initiatives.
