Honoring Shah Israt Azmery for Outstanding Contribution to the Global Environmental Sector
On April 25, 2025, the Children Watch Foundation proudly participated in the significant event “Climate Resilience and Sustainable Development: The Bangladesh Context”, organized by the Institute of Environmentalists, Bangladesh (BIE) [AFR], held at the IAB Centre, Agargaon, Dhaka.
This impactful gathering, sponsored by Berger Paints Bangladesh Ltd., brought together leading environmentalists, architects, academics, policymakers, and youth advocates to mark World Earth Day 2025 under the powerful theme “Our Power, Our Planet.”
The event focused on addressing the urgent challenges of climate resilience, sustainable urban development, and environmental stewardship in Bangladesh and beyond.
We are especially proud to share that during this prestigious event, our Chairman, Shah Israt Azmery, was honored with the 2024 Honorary Award for Contribution to the Environmental Sector on Global Platforms.
This recognition celebrates her outstanding dedication, leadership, and continuous advocacy for environmental protection, youth empowerment, and global sustainability initiatives.

They discussed Bangladesh’s historical climate patterns, the evolution of its built environment, and challenges such as waterlogging, unplanned urban settlements, and the increasing vulnerability of cities to climate-induced risks.
These insights underscored the urgent need for integrated planning approaches that align urban development with ecological balance.
This award not only recognizes Shah Israt Azmery’s personal achievements but also highlights the unwavering commitment of the Children Watch Foundation to advancing environmental education, sustainability, and global climate action.
